Yesterday, i went to the seminer about job hunting. ill graduate two and a half years later but i think i should start thinking about job now. In August, i go to America and then Norway, ill come back to Japan 2008 May. I have to extend one semester than other student so i have no time to do job seaching as many as others do. So, my plan is while im in America and Norway, i decide for some extent about my job. I cant say anything now because i havent started stuidying management. I decided that ill keep in mind about job while im in abroad!!

today is the last day of the second year. in the class, we watched the pictures slide show which Kazutaka made for us. In the show we saw many events happened to us. it was great! it remind me of the first year with IES teachers and some small groups trip to Taiwan and Thailand..
im very glad to finish IES course but ag the same time, i feel a little sad. soon, some of the students go to australia or Korea for a year. and then we are going to go two year to abroad,
it was the last time we studied in the classroom together! its sad, but i think well see again in the future and everyone will start their own career with the knowledge we learned at classes!!

Today, it was our last class with Peter....(secret!) Tomorrow, some students in class have a video interview at his office but no class at classroom anymore. Today, we handed in final essay at Darrens class so there is nothing left to do anymore.
When i start taking IES course i thought this course is too long and it would be very tough but i already almost all finished!! Im looking forward to taking course at CIE pre-departure course!!

Finally, the school i go two years has decided. First year, I go to University of Akron in Ohio and second year i go to Norweigian school of Management in Othro. I dont know well about both school and cities but im really looking forward to go there.

Yesterday, i had orientaion for the classes which will start in Janunary in CIE. Exchange students have to take 3 subjects and each subject have two classes in a week. Im excited about the classes because there are many subjects of management and finance.
Japanese school schedule is different from the schedule of CIE so many of other students have two months holiday after exam until April 8th.
during vacation that everyone having fun, ill work hard at CIE and ill do lots off part time job to earn money for the time i go to America.

In the class, we read the essay by Virginia Woolf. it was about the history of literature especially focused on the history of Author of great books. Virginia Woolf found that there were less works by women author than by men author. And today, it is tend to be read the book by mens author too. So why is this happen?? Im my opinion, It is because there are more books by men than the books by women in the history of literature. I dont think there were not any good women author in the past, but the situation, custom, and politics was not easy for women to be regarded as a person who is intelligent.
However, im my perception, more and more women writer will be accepted in the world.

Two more weeks of IES!!

there left only two weeks of our second grade at kansaigaidai. we started two years IES program and soon this course will end. it was tough for me to get used to the class style that only by native speaker teachers. there were many new things to lean at the first year of our Conversation classes by Allison and i learned a lot and enjoyed a lot. On the other hand , writing classes by Mr. Berger was difficult, it was my first time to write a paper using computer. I havents wrote paper on microsoft word. I learned how to organize the research paper how to make citation and how to use computer. his class was difficult with lots of homeworks but because of that Ive learned a lot. From the second year, we stared studying about two subjects, social science and literature. We finished studying about English as an one subjects, on the other hand using English as a communication and study tool. It was very tough two years, but i feel little sad when i think we will be separate to out own future.

For my Final paper for Darren's class, i decided to research about the Inca Empire. Im interetsted in historical topic and I was thinking to write about the history of Mars or history of old Japanese tribe in North Japan(Hokkaido). I reserched each topic and i came to the conclusion that im going to write about Inca empirel. Im not familer with the history of Old America but as I reseach about the people who lives in Inca, i think i can write a good paper. Due dau is on24th, so ill do my best for the final grade!!!!

Coming of Age Day!

it was the national holiday at January 9th for the celebration of new adults. i saw many of my classmates wore beautiful Kimono. last year i had the ceremony too so it remind me that.
At the first day of the class, Darren asked us about the ceremony so ill expain about this. On the day of ceremony for the coming 20age new adult have a assembry at the city hall or some big facility to celebrate each other or to be celebrated by the governer of the city. At the hall, young poeple get the small present from the city and listen some speeches.
After the ceremomy many young adults have their own party with friends , many high school or junior high school hold a party at a hotel.
Recently, it is said that this traditionanl ceremony will be stopped because of the bad behaviors of the young adults. some of them cought by the police because they drink alcohol at the ceremony or try to ruin the ceremony by stopping speeches by shouting or using fake toy guns.
this ceremony is very gorgiours! I want to see everyones pictures wearing kimonos!

Study Abroad Orientation.

Today, all the students who go to abroad as exchange students have orientaion. We are going to take classes at CIE from January to May. Today, we will decide which classes were going to take. im planning to study Bussiness communication and hospitality in CIE classes so i hope there are classes at the time i want to take. Ill do my best at the CIE class but im little sad because becuase of this course we miss two months spring vacation.

I had a accident on Wednesday morning,on the way to my part time job. On that day, a fog lay all around and i could not see clearly and the street was slippery because of that whether.

The car tried to turn left without blinker at just next to me. I think that driver did not notice to me. I tried to avoid the craching but after all, car's back and my bike's front had a crash. The ran away from me and i could not move one the street because of the pain. there were many people near to me yet at 5:30 in the morning but noone tried to help me to stand up or tried to talk to me. I felt really embarrased because everyone just looking at me with the eyes of interests!! why they did not try to even help to stand up!!! i was so dissapointed!

I hit my legs and stomach and this morning there are big bruises on my legs.......

Last interview for the 2years study abroad!!

On next Wednesday, I have the last interview for my study abroad for two years in America and in Norway or in Sweden. Im going to start studing about Business,especially management. I havent took the classes about business in Kansaigaidai so it must be challenging for me.

Anyway, ill do my best at the interview on Wednesday and im now busy with preparing for that!

i passed the exman for exchange one year to America!!!yeah!!! now its time to choose which university i want to go or rather,,,which university if best for the career in my future. In Peter's class we did webquest and i choose a few universities accoding to my interest but still not sure. On Saturday, we have a first orientation so I think i can think clearly after i listin a lecture from teachers. Im really glad that everyone in my class who applied to the exchange passed the exam!!!!

Tokyo moter show!!

From 22nd of this month, it is feld the moter show at Tokyo! This show is now become famous becasue many TV program focused on this event and at the show, we can see many new types of car and expensive rich imported car!! There are no chance to see rich car so often in daily life..so i really want to go there and see many beautiful cars!! But its in Makuhari! too far! i dont think I can go..but ill check out this event!!!!

Hi!Its my second start to blogging. Maybe im the last student who write on the blog.
Anyway, how was the exam for study abroad?? I was very nurvous beofore starting the test, especially at the reading test. I think i did my best, i concentrated for 200min both for readng and listening. I cant wait till next Wednesday to know the result. I hope everyone who took tests will pass and have interview on Saturday.

Finally, we finished global issue text book! We learned a lot about the world and this study motivate me to do soemthing for the world not only to myself!! Its so sad that Scott leave Japan and we have another class at next semester.....but IESb students dont forget what we learned from Scott and global issues! African Elephant" Pico" was killed in Shirahama Adventure world!!!

In January , the Elephant in Shirahama Adventure world "Pico" was killed by trainer. Pico is African Elephant which is very rare in the world. People who take after him used very cruel way to obey him the order. Trainer tied his legs by chain and stuck spear when he didnt obey the order and didnt give him meal. Pico gradually lost his waight and the wound by the spear were maturated. He couldnt walk and he couldnt eat..........and he died. Many people who are protecting animals take this accident seriously. there are many article about the animals in Adventure World are treated badly. I feel so sad and at the same time anger to the human...so selfish!!!!!! I pray for Pico and hope this kind case never happen again!

Hurricane Dennis hit Florida!!

I heard about the hurricane Dennis which hit Florida pensacola and Alabama coast. It is known that Florida has hurricanes every summer but this year, Dennis is very powerful one came and almost 30 people was killed. I have a friend who lives in Florida so i hope he is still alive!!!

Hi! it left only 2 more week before summer vacation!! YEAH!! but i guess everyone is very busy with lots of assigments and essays. lets keep on fighting to our classes, till the end and have fun during holidays!!! But as we were said at the begining of the semester, our pretty, funny, cool teacher,Scott, will leave Japan!!!Its so sad for us,isnt it??? So before he leave, lets have a party!! Ill arange the place we gather,im very glad if everyone have time to join the party!!!! ill tell you more detail at the class but im thinking its gonna be 19th of July after class at somewhere near school or Hirakata-shi station!!

Ｈｉ！i just read good article about food in convenience store, like Onigiri, sandwiches, breads and bento. Before, the foods were wasted 7 hours before of the "best to eat deadline" but according to the new rule, foods will be wasted 2 hours before. My sister used to work at "Seven Eleven" and she always said there are a lot to waste, even if they surely can eat!! I was really glad to hear this news because Japanese are always lacking a sence of preserving food! By adapting this new rule, the amount of wasting food will be lessen!!!

Solar panel is so expensive!!!

Recently, solar power is bocoming popular in Japan too. Every housing company recommends to have solar panel to store electricity on the roof of new houses. 2 years ago, my family built a new house and we want to have panels but it was so expensive to have facility to make electricity. It was not the price that the average income people can manage. So, we dont have solar system. I thought Japanese governmet sould help people to have solar power system. For example....government pay half to place solar panel, government buy the electricity which is made by solar power at a higher price than usual electricity...i hope houses with solar panel will increase in the future!!!!!

I want to ask something to my classmates and Scott! Now, im making my summer plan and i still cant decide whether i go to phuket island with Satoko Aya Kazukata Daichi Yuki and Miki. I had an argument with my mom about my trip to phuket island....As you know, there were big Tsunami and many people died, in last December. My parents said its impossible to repair everything in half of year....you sould not go!!! too dangerous!!!yeah....that might be true.......but on the other hand, it can be said that turist should go there, to boost the economy in Phuket so that phuket can repair everything. uuummmmmm, im not sure......what should i do????give me some advice!!!!

Hi! today, June 10th, was so hot day!!! i almost died while i was practicing dancing! i hope ill lose wait!!!!...hehehe☆I hate summer and hot whether in Japan because its so humid and uncomfortable... !! Im not sure i can survive this summer! In Australia, i was surprised to the weather in summer. How comfortable it is , even though the temperature is higher than in Japan! almost no rain and everyday is beautiful and dry day!! i want to live in Australia in my future!!! ummmm....but i also interested in the life in Canada! I havent been there, but i guess its nice.....it can be say nicer than Australia...?! anyway,,, i need to find out some good ways to spend this summer comfortably!!! if you have any idea , tell me, please!!!

How to get A+ at essay test?!?!

ha-----i!! today i write not about global issues but about writing essays. We already wrote 7 reading jounal assigment of Peter's class and finished first essay test of Scott's class..however ,I am still comfused how to write a good essay!!! I thought writing about responding to literature is very different from writing essay about global issues. we are not required to put thesis in the essays about literature. Peter said "there is no one answer to responding literature" I know that but still its difficult to write essays!! Essay, Essay, Essay..........there will come essay assigment and reading journal soon...(and global issues essay about food???) ummmm.......↓

We have studied about carrying capacity of earth at today's class. We used two bukets and water to demonstrate population change in the future. Recently, more people be born more than the number of people who die. Because of this, the total number of people on the earth increase rapidly. If too many people stay in certain area, they may try to immigrate to another country. I remebered the number of Asians who live in Australia or in Canada. I saw many chinese live in Australia. Now, Japan has the problem of lacking of new born babies. So there are less opportunity to immigrate to another country. If you feel there are too many people in your living area, would you try to immigrate to another countries where have enough land to live??? If I met such situation, I would move to Australia!! How about you?? Do you love Japan to continue living foever,even if its soooo crowded with lots of people????

Hello--☆Today, I want to write about the army forces which North Korea poses secretly. Do you know that North Korea has great nuclear weapons and will have experiment of nuclear bomb in June?? That power is immeasurable, the amount of nuclear power can destroy the whole world! Unbelievable! I heared about the new novel which was written by Ryu Murakami "Hanto-wo-Deyo". This is the story about the world in 2015. Japan will be invaded by North Korea and Kyushu Area will be occupied by the North Korea army group. Kim Jong Il will get the power to controll the USA. In the TV show ,there were the discussion about this story. If it happen, this would be the begining of "the end the world". I am woring about the relationship with Japan and North Korea. Its been unsolved about the kidnapping problem yet. North Korea has strong anti-Japan attidide. How do you react to this fact????? Global Warming!!....No Spring????

Hello, everyone!!! how do you think about the whether recently?? sooooo hot! its like already summer!! I wear only T-shits, but still hot! Today is still in April!!! Can you believe this?? its alsmost 27℃ in the daytime. I remember its not like this when i was a kid. We had spring every year but no spring this year! Winter→summer!
do you know why is this happend?? Its because of human activities such as oil refining, power generation and car emissions . As a result of the global warming, the oceans are heating up drastically and will cause sea levels to rise dramatically.
We live in the island country and our life is very industrialized. We must concern about the environment!!

Hi! This is my first blog page about global issues. It was a long way to get to this......hehe!!
Anyway, I will start writing what I thought when I read the newspaper about JR accident. I was surprised to the news because i've been thought that Japanese railroad schedule is almost perfect and never have such a big accident. I was also scared because nobody can predict the accident or natural disaster.I may die today or 70years later. It may happen a big earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I remembered the tsunami at Sumatra.The rupture caused massive waves, or tsunamis, that hurtled away from the epicenter, reaching shores as far away as Africa. Over 150,000 people were killed.
What can we do for ourselves and for others?? There are many possible for death around you.
